Morrissey kiszáll a zeneiparból

Az ex-Smiths frontember, aki a legendás zenekar felbomlása óta már sok kiváló szólólemezt is készített, úgy döntött, hogy hamarosan abbahagyja a zenélést. A döntést azzal indokolta Morrissey, hogy nem akarja elveszíteni a méltóságát, ezért még időben kiszáll.

"Nem akarom nagyon sokáig halasztani a dolgot. Ha még sokáig csinálnám, az a méltóságom elvesztését eredményezné, unalmassá válnék. Van egy pont az ember életében, mikor azt kell mondani, hogy elég volt", nyilatkozta Moz, akinek februárban jelenik meg új lemeze, a Years of Refusal. Az albumot egy turné is követi, szóval még nem kell teljesen elkeseredni.

Szerintem hülyeség! Amíg olyan zenéket csinál, mint mondjuk a legújabb I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris, addig miért veszítené el a méltóságát? Továbbá ha az elmúlt 30 évben ez nem történt meg, miért pont most?

Egyetértek. A years of refusal messze 10 pontos lemez lett, és úgy veszem észre, hogy Moz olyan, mint pl. Sean Connery, ahogy múlnak felette az évek, úgy növekszik a sármja.
