A kanadai zenei szcéna mindig is a legnyitottabbak közt volt, és ha igazi különlegességeket akarunk találni, akkor elég rákeresni néhány új kanadai előadóra. Montreal egyik legújabb felfedezettje Claire Boucher, vagyis művésznevén Grimes.

Szférikus hangzású zenéjét nehéz lenne besorolni, valami olyasmi, mint egy lelassított Crystal Castles, de más műfajok hatása is érezhető a goth rocktól az R&B-ig.
